Frequently Asked Questions
Window Cleaning
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
We recommend cleaning your windows at least twice a year for optimal results and to maximize their lifespan.
When is the best time to clean my windows?
Whether you choose to do it yourself or hire a professional, a great time to wash your windows is during the spring when the weather is nice. However, with Florida’s year-round warm weather and sunny skies, any time during the year is good.
Do I have to do any cleanup after?
When you hire us, there is limited cleanup for you to do (if any). The only thing you will be responsible for is moving any of your personal belongings back to where they were on the window sills or in front of the windows. Other than that, our technicians will take care of all cleanup.
Do I need to be home?
Nope! It’s completely up to you. We’ll get the job done while you’re at work, taking care of other responsibilities, or enjoying some time with family or friends! We make our services as convenient as possible.
Pressure Washing
What are the benefits of pressure washing?
It removes algae, dirt, mold, and mildew that can’t be removed with soap and water alone. It also helps with removing unwanted graffiti from both commercial and residential buildings. It adds value to your home by giving it a “like new” look and boosts curb appeal greatly!
When is the best time to pressure wash my house?
The best time is during a dry day. Ideally, it’s best to do this between March and November when the weather is warmer as winter temperatures can damage the pressure washer hose and cause the water spraying out to freeze.
How often should I pressure wash my house?
Annual maintenance is recommended. Once a year is best to keep your home clean and fresh. It also allows you to regularly inspect your property for damage.
Is pressure washing bad for your house?
To avoid damage, we recommend soft washing more fragile surfaces like siding and roofing. The psi levels used with the traditional pressure wash method can dent the siding.
What surfaces are safe to pressure wash?
Durable surfaces like concrete and asphalt benefit from this powerful cleaning technique. The high water pressure gets deep into the tiny grooves in the surface and removes all contaminants.
What should I look for when hiring a pressure washer?
Here are a few things to consider and ask yourself when deciding on a company:
- Look at several customer reviews – the good and the bad (if there are any)
- Do they provide free estimates?
- How long have they been in business?
- Do they have insurance?
- What training do they have in place?
- Do they offer a soft wash service?
We recommend comparing at least 3 different companies to ensure you hire the right one for the job.
Do I need to seal my driveway after pressure washing it?
You don’t have to, but it has a lot of benefits. Sealant protects the porous surface from contaminants and makes it difficult for mold, mildew, dirt, and oil residue to penetrate the surface.
How much does it cost to get your house pressure washed?
While it all depends on your location, what all you need to be cleaned, and the company you work with, you could pay anywhere from a little under $200 to a little over $400. Call your local professional to get an accurate quote for your exterior maintenance needs.
Should I pressure wash or hire someone?
This is a job you can do yourself if you’re the DIY type. You need to do the proper research and rent or purchase quality equipment as well as safety gear. This can be a dangerous job and can cause severe damage or injury if not done correctly. It’s best to hire your local professional. They are equipped with all needed supplies, detergents, and have extensive industry knowledge.
What is soft washing?
It’s a gentler alternative that’s suitable for softer surfaces like vinyl, brick, and aluminum siding. It involves applying specialized detergents onto the surface(s) and rinsing them away with just enough water pressure to remove all contaminants without damaging the property.
